Iznik is a historic town in Turkey famed for producing the beautiful patterened tiles that are ubiquitous across the country. This offered a jumping-off point for the design of Iznik’s coffee packaging.
Taking inspiration from the history of coffee, which was outlawed in the Ottoman Empire in the 17th century, this coffee brand pays tribute in its packaging to those who smuggled contraband coffee around the region under the guise of delivering the beautiful tiles for which the town of Iznik is famed.
